Train Like Professional Players
Experience what it's like to train like a professional player, for 2 full days.

Over the course of 10 hours of on-court time, there will be a variety of training & matchplay sessions designed to challenge and improve every aspect of your doubles game.
Get Technical & Tactical Feedback From Expert Coaches
We, Greg and Jenny Mairs, will be leading the weekend with the help of a expert coaches. We hope to give you a lot of technical, tactical and mental 'insight' to help you improve before the start of the new season!
Connect With Other Passionate Players
One of the biggest problems players face is not having people to train with. At the Badminton Insight Training Weekend you will connect and train with lots of players who are a similar standard to you.
Gain Lots Of Insight To Take Back Home
Not only will you leave the Training Weekend with an improved technical & tactical understanding of your own game, but we will share training drills and practices you can take back to your own training. There will also be a chance to play against us on Sunday!

🏸 Who The Training Weekend Is For
Event:
The Training Weekend is exclusively for doubles & mixed doubles players.
Standard:
This Training Weekend is aimed at intermediate players and above (e.g. playing regularly at a club level).
Unfortunately we can’t accommodate for beginners on this Training Weekend – you must have a good understanding of basic technique and tactics.

Age:
The Training Weekend is for adults over the age of 18.
💰 What Is Included In The Price
The Training Weekend is £260 per person. The price for this weekend includes:
- 10 hours of on-court training, with expert coaches
- Court hire & new shuttles
- Extra off-court insights
- Not included: accommodation, food

There are changing rooms and showers available on-site at the Armitage Sports Centre.
Yes! We want to maximise your time on the court so there won’t be any off-court ‘physical’ work during the 2 days.
Please read the above section carefully where we outline the standard required for the Training Weekend.

Once you have booked your space, you will receive a confirmation email. You will then receive an email 4 weeks before the Training Weekend with a full itinerary! If you don’t receive these, please email us ([email protected]).
If you’re travelling by car, there is parking on-site (free for 3 hours, £3.50 for the entire day).
If you’re travelling by train, the nearest main train station is Manchester Piccadilly Station and it will then be a 15 minute tram, or 15 minute taxi.
The nearest airport is Manchester Airport – a 15 minute taxi to the venue, or around 40 minutes by public transport.
The closest hotel to the Armitage Sports Centre is the Best Western on Wilmslow Road which is a 25 minute walk away.
Alternatively, if you are travelling by car – there are many options in Manchester City Centre which is just a 10 minute drive away from the venue.
Please let us know as early as possible if you are no longer able to attend the Training Weekend. You will receive a 50% refund, as long as we can find a replacement.
